UPDATE Stafford Snow Storm Update January 6, 2022

Emergency Shelter is active. Individuals seeking emergency sheltering can visit: 63 Stafford Indians Lane, Fredericksburg, VA 22405.




Stafford County’s warming center and overnight shelter at Stafford High School will close today at 11:45 a.m. The shelter can be mobilized quickly if needed after the next storm this evening. Stafford is currently under a winter weather advisory, with one to four inches of snow at a minimum expected overnight. Please take precautions and plan ahead now.

Severe Building Damage Assessments

If your home has sustained severe damage from the storm event, Stafford asks that you call (540) 783-8994. A building inspector will come to make sure your home is safe for occupancy. You can also text and send photos to that number. Please accompany messages with your full name, address and phone number. Stafford’s number one goal is the safety of its citizens. The County wants to work with you to ensure your home is safe.
