Crystal Vanuch was elected to the Stafford County Board of Supervisors in November 2019. Crystal Vanuch was elected by her fellow Board members as Chairman for 2021 and re-elected for 2022. Ms. Vanuch serves on the following standing committees; Community and Economic Development Committee; the Finance, Audit and Budget Committee; the Legislative Committee; Zoning Ordinance Recodification Committee; and the Public Safety Committee. She serves as the Board's appointee to the Fredericksburg Area Metropolitan Planning Commission. She is an alternate member of the George Washington Regional Commission.
Prior to her election to the Board, Ms. Vanuch served on the Planning Commission for four years, serving the Rock Hill District. During her time on the Planning Commission, Ms. Vanuch was Vice Chairman for one year and Chairman for two past consecutive years. Ms. Vanuch has served on the Comprehensive Plan Subcommittee, Agricultural Uses Subcommittee, and Parking subcommittees.
Ms. Vanuch was born and raised in Stafford County, attending Stafford Elementary, Middle, and Brooke Point High School. She then went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Virginia Wesleyan University with a degree in business. She has spent her career working in the healthcare field to help advocate for terminally and chronically ill patients in order to gain access to affordable treatments for their conditions. Currently, Ms. Vanuch owns a public affairs firm and operates as the President and Chief Executive Officer.
Ms. Vanuch lives in Rock Hill with her husband David, a retired Marine. Her parents still live in the Aquia Distrct where Ms. Vanuch grew up.
