The Procurement Division is the center of the purchasing operations for the County of Stafford. We procure high-quality goods and services at fair and reasonable prices to satisfy the County’s needs. We promote high standards for all business relationships. We ensure that the County gets the greatest value for each dollar we spend. We follow all federal, state and county laws and regulations. We use competitive practices in a fair and open environment to give all qualified businesses the opportunity to offer their products and services to the County.
The Stafford County Procurement Division is dedicated to procuring and managing contracts for essential goods, services and construction requirements in an efficient and fair manner in accordance with the County Procurement Policy and the Virginia Public Procurement Act (VPPA).
Quality goods and services are acquired to ensure continued County Government operations and best value for the community’s tax dollars.
Stafford County continues to promote, improve, and grow public procurement opportunities with businesses that are certified by the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity. As part of our continued improvement process and for ease of access and use by Stafford County departments and by the vendor community, i.e. to promote contracting and subcontracting with certified businesses, Procurement utilizes the listing of certified Stafford County businesses. This listing is created and maintaned by Stafford County Public Schools Procurement Department.
