Transportation Engineering
The Transportation Engineering Division within the Capital Projects Department is responsible for:
- Managing the County's Transportation Projects (major road improvements) including PPTA (Public-Private Transportation Act) Projects
- Administering the County's Transportation Fund
- Facilitating the County's Transportation Bond Program
- Facilitating the County's Transportation Impact Fee Program
- Maintaining Performance Agreements between Developers & the County for Streets
- Posting & Releasing of Securities for Roadway Components of Site Development
- Review of Roads & Drainage Components of Construction & Site Plans for Commercial & Residential Developments
- Facilitating the County's RTMP (Residential Traffic Management Plan)
- Facilitating the County's Transportation Service Districts
- Maintaining the County's Transportation Plan
- Maintaining Green & White Street Name Signs
- The Division is the Liaison for the County & VDOT (Virginia Department of Transportation) Local Residency
