Citizen Assistance Academy

The academy is a series of short classes taught by Stafford Government employees. Classes focus on educating residents, business owners and interested individuals who work in Stafford on how the operations of their daily county government contribute to building a better community.

Topics include an introduction to local government, as well as information on various County departments and programs, the County budget, and history and tourism.

There will also be a tour of the Ford T. Humphrey Public Safety Building.

The academy will run May 2-23, on Thursday evenings. Classes are free and take place from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Board Chambers of the George L. Gordon, Jr., Government Center, 1300 Courthouse Road, Stafford, VA 22554.

Space is limited and students are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
