Please present your citation when paying in the office.

Contest of Citation:

If you choose to contest your parking citation, a completed contest form must be returned in person or by fax to the Stafford County Treasurer's Office within 30 days of the issuance of the parking citation.  Notice of a hearing date will be given by the appropriate District Court.  The Treasurer's Office is not responsible for any contest forms received past 30 days of the issuance of the parking citation.

Fees: If you contest your parking citation, your case becomes a District Court case.  If convicted, in addition to any fine imposed, there will be a court cost of $61.00.  If you fail to appear for your hearing, a trial will be conducted in your absence and a fine and court cost assessed.  A $35.00 failure to appear fee will be assessed in addition to any fine(s) and court costs.
