OFFICE OF THE TREASURER

The mission of the Treasurer's Office is to ensure effective collection and investment of all revenue while providing courteous and convenient service to the taxpaying public.

The primary functions of the Treasurer's office can be grouped into four major categories:

    • Collection and receipt of revenue
    • Safekeeping of the revenue
    • Investment of revenue
    • Disbursement of funds
There are over three hundred categories of County receipts. The major collections are that of real estate tax, personal property tax, State income, consumer utility tax, vehicle license fees, dog license fees, permit fees, and water and sewer (utility) charges.
