Architectural Design Guidelines Public Workshop
Architectural Review Board
The Stafford County Architectural Review Board (ARB) was established by the Board of Supervisors in 1995. The ARB includes five individuals who have interest in historic preservation and experience with rehabilitating or restoring historic buildings. The ARB's chief duty is to oversee the preservation and management of the County's designated Historic Overlay Districts (HODs).

Community Policy & Management Team
The Community Policy & Management Team exercises all those powers and duties set forth in the Code of Virginia in Section: 2.2-5206 et seq. entitles “The Comprehensive Youth Services Act for At-Risk Youth and Families.” The team also advises and makes recommendations periodically to the Stafford Board of Supervisors on matters regarding the provision of services for troubled children and families in the County. In addition, they create, maintain, and manage a collaborative system of services and funding that is youth centered, family focused, and community based when addressing the strengths and needs of at-risk youth and their families.

The Planning Commission meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month beginning at 6:30 p.m. Meetings are held in the Board of Supervisors Chambers located in the Stafford County Administration Center, 1300 Courthouse Road, Stafford, Virginia. Purchase of Development Rights Program
The Purchase of Development Rights Program is a voluntary program created to allow a financially competitive alternative to selling land for development and allow continued agricultural and silvicultural activities. Eligible properties include parcels of land 20 acres or greater, zoned A-1, Agricultural or A-2, Rural Residential. Applications will be accepted through April 12, 2013. You may obtain information regarding the PDR Program, as well as an application by visiting the Planning and Zoning page of Stafford County’s website at PDRProgram, or by calling the Department of Planning and Zoning at (540) 658-8668. Information will also be available at the meeting.
