Youth Driver Task Force

The Youth Driver Task Force was established by the Board of Supervisors in March 2004 to conduct a comprehensive review of possible actions to reduce traffic accidents. Its membership included staff from the Sheriff’s Office, Stafford County schools, the fire and rescue community and citizens. The Task Force was asked to review factors that affect vehicular traffic safety to include road and intersection design, weather conditions, driving experience and public awareness. Members talked to representatives from other agencies that were involved with traffic safety on a daily basis, and they also received input from citizens.
