Our Mission is You
Our mission is to provide a variety of leisure activities
and facilities that will develop and satisfy your recreational needs.
Services and facilities are available to all citizens, regardless of race,
color, national origin, sex, age, or disability.
We are committed to giving all citizens equal access to recreational
opportunities. In keeping with that policy, reasonable accommodations and
support will be provided to people with disabilities so that they may take
advantage of these opportunities.
Parks and Recreation Services
The Stafford County
Department of Parks and Recreation serves two basic functions:
administration of leisure services for all county citizens and maintenance,
operation, and administration of leisure services areas.
Leisure Services
· Plans and conducts
sports and recreational and cultural activities for all
ages.
· Directs, trains, and supervises paid employees and
volunteers.
· Plans, designs, and constructs new
recreation areas.
· Plans and implements special
population programs.
Park Services
Manages and maintains parks, recreational
areas, and facilities to assure safe, healthy, and attractive recreation.
Prepares school fields and other athletic fields for recreation and sports
programs.
