The Stafford County Employee United Way Committee will host a community yard sale on Saturday, September 20. The event will be held from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the Administration Center, located at 1300 Courthouse Road.

Government employees are renting spaces, the equivalent of two regular parking spaces, to vendors for $20.00.  The money raised will be donated directly to the Rappahannock Area United Way. “Hundreds of bargain hunters attend this semi-annual event,” said Judy Barnes, chair of the committee. “Vendors come from throughout the region to sell antiques, artwork, furniture, baby clothes, all kinds of electronics and much more.”  

Proceeds from the sale of baked goods, beverages and Krispy Kreme donuts during the event will also be donated to United Way.      

Parking at the Administration Center is limited on the day of the sale. Visitors are asked to follow the instructions of Sheriff’s deputies. Orange cones and signage will mark restricted areas. Police vehicles, ambulances and fire trucks are required to have easy access to Courthouse Road (State Route 630) and Jefferson Davis Highway (U.S. Route 1). No parking will be allowed in the immediate area around the Stafford Rescue Squad building.
