Stafford officials will close the customer service center at the Berea Fire and Rescue Station at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2008. The center was activated on May 10 to aid victims of the tornado that hit south Stafford on May 8.
Citizens affected by the tornado and contractors who call the center’s phone number at (540) 658-4221 will be automatically routed to the County’s Department of Code Administration. That office issues all building permits and can provide information to victims of the tornado about contractors and the permitting process to repair damage to their homes.

from the storm. The department is located in the Administration Center at 1300 Courthouse
Road.
