Illegal Immigration Task Force Reschedules March 25 Meeting For April 2 March 20 The Illegal Immigration Task Force has canceled its March 25 meeting and rescheduled it for Wednesday, April 2 at 4:00 p.m. The meeting will take place in Conference Rooms ABC of the Stafford Administration Center, 1300 Courthouse Road. The Illegal Immigration Task Force was created by the Board of Supervisors in September 2007 to study, report and make recommendations regarding the impact of illegal immigration on Stafford County. The group consists of members of the Board of Supervisors, staff from different County departments, a representative from the schools, Sheriff’s Office, Health Department and Economic Development Authority. The Task Force began meeting in October 2007. Members held two public hearings in January, and have continued meeting since then to prepare their findings for a report to the Board of Supervisors. The report was scheduled to be provided to the Board by April 1, 2008, but the Board recently extended that deadline. It is now scheduled to be presented to the Board at the May 6th Board of Supervisors meeting. The
Task Force is still interested in obtaining input from charitable organizations
and faith-based groups. If representatives of these groups are interested in
providing information to the Task Force, please contact David Gayle in the
