Stafford Utilities Asks Customers To Re-Send Utility Bills February 26 The Stafford Department of Utilities is asking customers to re-send utility bills that may have been inadvertently returned to them in the mail. An external difficulty interfered with the regular mailing process and caused the bills to be returned to customers. Customers should remove the yellow sticker on the envelope, cross out the printed numbers at the bottom of the envelope and cross out the orange bar code on the back of the envelope. They should then re-send the envelope through the mail (no new postage is needed). Customers who wish to may put the bill in a new envelope and send it directly to the Stafford County Treasurer, P.O. Box 1195, 22555 (a stamp is required if sending the bill in a new envelope). Customers can also place the bills in a drop-box located just outside the entrance to the Stafford Administration Center, located at 1300 Courthouse Road in Stafford, or bring it directly to the Treasurer’s Office, which is located inside the Administration Center. The situation has been corrected, and all payments are
being properly processed. Customers will not be charged a late fee by the
Department of Utilities. |
