Planning Commission to Hold Work Session on Proposed Rezoning of Aquia Towne Center

October 29

The Stafford Planning Commission will hold a work session on Thursday, November 1, to consider a rezoning application for the Towne Center of Aquia. The Planning Commission deferred this item following a public hearing during its regular meeting on October 17, 2007.

The Commission will consider a proposal to rezone 36.25 acres of land at the southeast corner of Jefferson Davis Highway and Washington Drive to a Planned Traditional Neighborhood Development zoning district for a mix of housing and commercial uses.

The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Chambers in the Administration Center, located at 1300 Courthouse Road. The meeting is open to the public, and public comments may be accepted at the discretion of the Planning Commission chairman.

Copies of the informational materials are on file in the Department of Planning and Zoning, 1300 Courthouse Road, and may be examined Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
