Planning Commission Members and Staff To Visit Traditional Neighborhood Developments in Maryland

Members of the Stafford County Planning Commission and staff from the Department of Planning and Zoning will travel to Gaithersburg, Maryland on October 22, 2007, to visit existing traditional neighborhood developments in that community including Kentland's, Lakeland's, Kings Farm and Washingtonian Center. The purpose of the trip is to give Commission members and staff an opportunity to see firsthand how other communities have put Traditional Neighborhood Development design concepts into practice. The group will depart from the Stafford Administration Center at 1300 Courthouse Road at 9:00 a.m. on October 22th.

The Planning Commission members who are scheduled to participate in the tour are: Ruth Carlone, Archer Di Peppe, Barbara Kirby and Steve Pitzel.

The group plans to return to Stafford late in the day on October 22th.
