Stafford Defense Contractor Plans Major Expansion at Quantico Corporate Center
June 22
Stafford County’s Department of Economic Development is pleased to
announce that MTC Services Corporation (MTC), a woman-owned defense
contracting company, is expanding in the county. The defense company has been
working in Stafford for the past seven years.
“MTC is a prime
example of the type of businesses we work hard to attract and keep in Stafford County,” said Jack Cavalier, Chairman of the Stafford Board of
Supervisors. “They provide high-paying, professional jobs that allow our
citizens to work close to their homes and families, and they help to diversify
our economy.”
MTC’s expansion
will allow the company to move into 35,000 square feet of additional space
adjacent to their current location in the Boswell’s Corner area of north
Stafford. They will be moving into a portion of
the Quantico Corporate Center at Stafford’s
first office building.
MTC Services
Corporation is currently in the process of planning, with the Silver Companies
and Development Consulting Services, an additional 190,000 square foot facility
at the Quantico
Corporate Center. This will be in addition to their
current facility, the Integrated Team Solutions Facility, located on Jefferson Davis
Highway. MTC currently employs more than 250 people,
the majority of whom work in the company’s Stafford facilities. With the new and planned
expansions, MTC will grow by
another 200 to 300 employees in the Stafford
area alone. More than half of the new employees slated are scheduled to be hired
in the next 18 months as facilities are completed and become
available.
MTC provides
engineering, software development, research, acquisition, and integration
support to the U. S. Department of Defense community.
Construction of
the 141,000 square foot Quantico
Corporate Center at Stafford, a
Silver Companies project, is scheduled to be completed later this year. The
building is one of seven, totaling approximately 1,000,000 square feet, that
will be built in north Stafford near the back
gate of Marine Corps Base Quantico.
