Stafford To Provide Buses for State Corporation Commission's Hearing on Dominion Virginia Power's Transmission Line July 2 Stafford County has chartered two buses to transport interested citizens to Richmond for the Virginia State Corporation Commission’s public hearings on July 11th on Dominion Virginia Power’s proposed transmission line through Garrisonville. The buses will leave from Colonial Forge High School, located at 550 Courthouse Road, at 8 a.m. on July 11th. They will leave Richmond when the hearing is over and return to Colonial Forge. Each bus holds 55 people. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. The State Corporation Commission
hearing is scheduled to begin on July 11 at 10:00 a.m. in the Commission’s
Courtroom, which is located on the second floor of the Tyler Building, 1300 East Main Street, Richmond. Citizens will be able to speak at
the beginning of the hearing on July 11. Anyone wanting to speak should arrive
at least 15 minutes early to check in with the bailiff. Computers must be equipped with a
sound card, an Internet connection and a web browser. In addition, computers
must also have Windows Media Player, which is available at no cost from the
Microsoft Web site (www.microsoft.com). |
