Stafford Parks and Recreation Department Seeks Public Input on Future Plans
February 9

The Stafford Parks and Recreation Department will hold two public meetings to solicit input from residents on a draft facilities master plan designed to help meet the changing demographics and needs of the community. The first meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 27, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. in the Rocky Run Elementary cafeteria, located at 95 Reservoir Lane. The second meeting will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. in the multi-purpose room at Hampton Oaks Elementary School, at 107 Northampton Boulevard.

The Director of Parks and Recreation, Greg Sager, supervisory staff and consultants from Clough, Harbour and Associates and Rhodeside and Harwell will be available to answer questions. Attendees will be presented with an overview of the draft comprehensive facilities master plan. They will also be asked to discuss major issues they believe the County should address in the next decade to ensure that parks and recreation facilities provide adequate services for all residents. A timetable for implementation of the recommendations will also be discussed.

Written comments may be submitted by e-mail to gsager@co.stafford.va.us or mailed to Parks and Recreation Master Plan, P.O. Box 339, Stafford, VA 22555.
