Stafford Parks and Recreation Department Seeks Public Input on Aquia Landing Park

December 11

The Stafford Parks and Recreation Department will hold a public meeting on Monday, December 17, 2007, to solicit input from residents about proposed changes to the dates that Aquia Landing Park is open to the public.

Aquia Landing Park, located at 2846 Brooke Road, is currently open only between Memorial Day and Labor Day. The proposal under consideration would open the park to visitors all year. The Acting Director of Parks and Recreation, Christopher Hoppe, and supervisory staff will provide information about plans for expanded use of the park and answer questions during the meeting.

The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Parks and Recreation administration office in the Rowser Building, located at 1739 Jefferson Davis Highway.
