The Office of Transportation is responsible for review of roads & drainage components of site plans, including commercial site developments, residential subdivisions, church & school projects - performance agreements between developers & the County for streets - posting of securities for roadway components of site development & subsequent releases of those securities after completion of the project - maintaining green & white street name signs - administering the County's Transportation Fund - facilitating the County's:

The Office of Transportation is liaison between County Administration &:
Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT)  local residency office on various fronts - transportation planning (in terms of developing the VDOT Secondary Six-Year Improvement Program (SSYP) - VDOT Rural Addition Program - VDOT Traffic Calming Program - VDOT Unpaved Roads Program - Roadway Maintenance Issues - acceptance of new roads into the VDOT Secondary System of State Highways
