Special Cleanups
Special roadside cleanups are held at the request of
community groups. To schedule a cleanup, contact the Recycling and Litter Prevention
Office at (540) 658-4579. All supplies are provided.
The Virginia
Department of Transportation has an Adopt-A-Highway Program. Call the
regional office at (540) 899-4300.
The Friends of the Rappahannock hosts major river cleanups twice each year.

The Stafford Beautification Committee sponsors an annual
community awards program to recognize businesses and citizens with
well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing landscapes. The contest is free of
charge and all Stafford property owners are eligible for nomination in the
following categories: - Homeowner
- Commercial
- School
- Church
