Clean Up Stafford's Main Streets on October 27

Make a Difference Day is a national event sponsored by USA Weekend Magazine. It is an opportunity for citizens and organizations to give back to their communities. Stafford County has chosen this day to ask its citizens to pick up litter to improve the safety and appearance of our roads. Cleaning our main streets not only gives a sense of pride to volunteers, it also shows passersby that we care about where we live.

Last year 344 volunteers picked up more than 19,000 pounds of trash from along 30 miles of roads and the Rappahannock shoreline.

If you would like to volunteer, please click on the below links to download additional information and a registration packet. Pre-registration is requested and all volunteers must sign a release form.

You may mail your registration and release forms to Stafford County Office of Litter Prevention and Recycling, Attention: Julie May, P.O. 339, Stafford, VA 22555-0339 or fax them to 540-658-4523. Call 540-658-4579 with questions or for more information.

We hope to see you on October 27! You can make a difference!
