Because of the wide variety of needs of all local governments, whether your
firm is in service, manufacturing or distributing, Stafford County has a need
for your specialty.
This manual deals with the acquisition of goods and services by local
governments. Its purpose is to explain the process so that you may obtain a
better understanding of how the system works as well as how you can make the
system work for you.
The key to successfully deal with local governments
is to understand the so-called complexities of governmental buying. This manual
is intended to help you sell to local governments successfully, get paid on time
and improve your sales volume.
The County seeks to maintain strong and
enduring relationships with vendors who are doing, or wish to do, business with
the County. Purchasing activities are conducted in such a manner that vendors
value the County's business and make every effort to furnish requirements on the
basis of quality, service and price. Stafford County does not discriminate
against any person on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, national
origin, sex, or handicapped status.
