Private Group Presentations

The Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee has been collecting input from the public throughout the process of revising the Comprehensive Plan. The Steering Committee has been encouraging public input. They meet generally on a weekly basis where they have typically collected individual input. The have established a more formalized process to allow private groups to schedule time to make a presentation at a regular steering committee meetings. The guidelines are to ensure that the subject matter being presented to the Steering Committee is relevant to the Comprehensive Plan. Groups are required to follow these Scheduling Guidelines:

Contact Mike Zuraf, Planning Department staff at (540) 658-8668.
Group shall provide Mike Zuraf with 1 page summary of presentation subject.

Mike Zuraf and Steve Pitzel, the Steering Committee Chairman, shall determine the suitability of the subject.
If presentation is accepted, Mike Zuraf will schedule the presentation.
Presentation time will be approximately 20 minutes in length.
If presentation is rejected, the entire Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee will be notified, and opportunity will be provided for the Steering Committee to reverse rejection.
