Information Technology

Mission
The mission of the Stafford County IT department is to provide hardware and software information systems and technologies that enable County departments to accomplish their respective missions and to provide department personnel with information relative to their operations, support strategic planning, promote effective resource management, enhance customer service, and promote internal and external communications.

Purpose
The IT department faces the challenge of coordinating an array of internal resources and external solution providers and serving the varied needs of diverse stakeholders within the government as well as every citizen in Stafford County. The department does so with a modest size staff. Through exciting new software projects from public safety and public service to maintaining and upgrading the existing IT, telephony, and multimedia infrastructure of the County, the success of IT department efforts directly impacts the quality of information services and the operational efficiency of all other County departments.
