The Department of Finance is responsible for the areas of Accounting, Purchasing and Property Management.

Vendors wishing to be placed on the Stafford County bidding information files should visit the Purchasing website; or submit a written request to the Stafford County Purchasing Department, P. O. Box 339, Stafford, Virginia 22555-0339; or call 540-658-8614; or send email to purchasing3@co.stafford.va.us, to receive a bidders application.

Payments to vendors are approved by the Board of Supervisors at regular meeting held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. The checks are mailed within 3 days of the Board's approval. Any questions regarding your payment will be answered by the Accounts Payable Department at (540) 658-8615 or (540) 658-4527.
