The Citizen Assistance and Volunteer Services offices provides a central point where citizens can get information about County or consumer issues, coordinates volunteer recruitment of Citizen Assistance Teams (CAT), trains and places volunteers, and provides an in-house resource for departments with customer service needs.

We are currently in need of the following volunteers:
  • SHOCAT - Data Entry (Sheriff's Office)
  • OfficeCAT - Clerical, Phones, Reception (General Offices)
  • TOPCAT Information Desk (Administration / Judicial Center)
  • TRACAT - Traffic Trailer (Sheriff's Office)
  • STRACAT - Stafford the Wonder Dog


  • Stafford the Wonder Dog program was recognized as an innovative initiative by the National Association of Counties (NACO).
