The Advisory Board on Towing was established by the Stafford County Board of Supervisors to monitor the towing of vehicles requested by law enforcement only. The Board consists of the Sheriff, 3 additional law enforcement officers including the Virginia State Police, 4 tow operators, a representative from the County Attorney’s Office, and two Stafford citizens. It is governed under Chapter 15 of the Stafford County Code, specifically Section 15, Article 147-164.

The Advisory Board on Towing meets quarterly on the second Thursday of January, April, July and October. Copies of the Towing Policy are available through the Sheriff’s Office.
