Presentations by the Public
Thank you for attending the Board of Supervisors meeting. The Board of Supervisors appreciates your interest in the Stafford County Government and welcomes your participation. The public has two opportunities to comment during Board meetings: during the Public Presentation section of the meeting and during a Public Hearing on a particular issue. If you would like to comment during a Board meeting, please remain courteous and respectful to the audience and to Board members, and please try to keep track of your time at the podium. The Board would like to give all interested individuals a chance to speak, and staying on schedule ensures that everyone will have enough time to address the Board. Please refer to the guidelines below for speaking during a Public Presentation or a Public Hearing.

Public Presentations

Individuals whether they are representing themselves or a group, are allowed three minutes each to speak.
Please state your name and address as soon as you reach the podium. Please speak into the microphone slowly, clearly and loudly.
You may speak on any subject except those that will be considered by the Board during a

o Green — Your public presentation begins. Please begin.
o Yellow — You have one minute to summarize your comments.
o Red - Your public presentation is complete.

Public Hearings

Please state your name and address as soon as you reach the podium. Please speak into the microphone slowly, clearly and loudly.
Individuals, whether they are speaking representing themselves or a group, are allowed four minutes to speak.
Please refer to the light on the podium to monitor the time of your presentation:

o Green — Your public presentation begins. Please begin.
o Yellow — You have one minute to summarize your comments.
o Red - Your public presentation is complete.
